Sarah Heringer PA-C
Completing a Bachelor of Science degree at Valley City State University in North Dakota, she earned honors as the Biology Student of the Year in 2006. Further education at Rocky Mountain College in Montana yielded a Master of Science in 2009. Upon graduation Sarah returned home to eastern Montana were she blessed her family as the primary caregiver for her paternal grandfather until his passing in early 2010, whereupon she moved to Texas near her brother's family to practice medicine.
Sarah was raised in the country in rural eastern Montana. While balancing her academics, multi-sport disciplines, community service projects, camp counseling and certified nurse assistant work, she earned the nickname "Sunshine.” During her junior year in college, she interned as a research biologist and intended to make this her life’s work. Unexpectedly suffering a fractured femur and torn ACL during the basketball season her senior year, however, introduced her to the world of sports medicine. An empathic orthopedic physician assistant on her care team became the catalyst that motivated her choice to pursue a career in medicine.
Ms. Heringer enjoys serving at her church, working as a camp counselor, and sponsoring/connecting with a child through the compassion international ministry. Sarah, engaged to be married, loves spending time with her friends, family, youth group, and fur-babies. She divides her spare time between competitive sports like pick-up basketball, competitive volleyball leagues, golf ball mashing, and dodge ball tourneys. She is quite fond of Texas winters, summers not so much.
By providing whole body healthcare that is rooted in compassion, “Sunshine” Sarah is enthusiastic about effective communication and encourages her patients to live a healthy lifestyle."
As a PA, she has a particular interest in women's health, diabetes, obesity management, and preventive medicine. Specializing in family practice since 2010, Sarah is certified by the National Commission for Physician Assistants.
